Yehuda Ashkenazi, known to many as Ashke, is a Kabbalah teacher and musician who grew up in Israel and now teaches in Los Angeles. Music came first: he trained at music school and was recording his first album when he met the teachings of Kabbalah, and he went on to study under Rav Berg and Karen Berg. He has taught with The Kabbalah Centre for more than two decades, in Israel and the United States, leading Zohar study, classes on the spiritual tools of the tradition and one-to-one guidance sessions in person and online.
His particular contribution is Sacred Sounds, a form of meditation that weaves live music, tones and the sounds of the Hebrew letters into a guided session meant to slow the mind and open a quieter, more receptive awareness. He offers it to individuals, to groups at the Beverly Hills centre, on the Centre's Weekly Energy Boost broadcasts and in sessions for companies. His recordings include daily meditations on the 72 Names of God and the Ana Bekoach prayer, and he releases songs as The Yehuda Ashkenazi Project and under the name Ashke.
