Tracee Stanley has practised yoga and tantra for close to thirty years, and since 2004 her teaching has centred on yoga nidra, meditation, sankalpa (heartfelt intention) and self-inquiry. She is a long-standing student of the Himalayan tradition and of Sri Vidya tantra, and she opened her first yoga studio in Los Angeles in 2001. A deep interest in spiritual ecology took her to Pacifica Graduate Institute for certificates in eco-therapy and ecopsychology, and the natural world, ritual and reverence for the ancestors run through much of what she offers.
She has written three books: Radiant Rest, a guide to yoga nidra; The Luminous Self, on yogic practice and ritual for remembering one's true nature; and Living Ritual, on weaving intention and the sacred into ordinary days. Most of her teaching happens online. She leads tantric meditation and yoga nidra teacher trainings, the second with Dr. Chanti Tacoronte-Perez, along with self-paced courses and a monthly membership offering dharma talks, full moon practice and seasonal rituals. She also runs occasional retreats in the American West and hosts the Radiant Rest podcast. Her five-day Commune course is a gentle introduction to yoga nidra as a conscious way of resting.
