Tony Samara

Tony Samara is a meditation teacher and author now based in Ljubljana, Slovenia, who has spent more than forty years on a contemplative path. As a young man he practised in Zen Buddhism and then lived for years among shamanic communities in South America, training in the Huachuma tradition of the Andes, an experience he later described in his first book, Shaman's Wisdom. Over time his emphasis moved from shamanic ceremony towards a quieter teaching on consciousness, presence and the symbolic meaning of everyday events.

Today he teaches almost entirely online and in both English and Portuguese. He leads live series of energy transmissions and teaching called The Pillar, gives private consultations by video call, offers recorded courses on bringing meditation into daily life and on conscious parenting, and sends free and paid weekly letters on Substack about mysticism and gratitude. His books include Shaman's Wisdom Within, Discover Your Inner Buddha, Ancient Wisdom for Reality Creators and Different Yet the Same, written with the anthropologist Christian Ghasarian. On YouTube and Insight Timer he shares guided meditations, sung prayers and reflective music, and he holds a daily evening sound meditation online.
