Teaches on Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health

Tasha Judson came to hatha yoga as a teenager in Pittsburgh and studied East Asian religion and Buddhism at university, followed by a five-month stay in a Tibetan Buddhist programme and a journey to India, where she received an initiation from the Dalai Lama. For more than ten years she sat a ten-day Buddhist retreat every year. She trained as a yoga teacher in the Iyengar and Anusara methods around the turn of the millennium, gained Anusara certification in 2006, and left a nine-year career as a school social studies teacher to teach yoga full time from 2003.

Her classes join close attention to alignment with breath-led movement and careful sequencing, and she presents Anusara as a doorway into the non-dual Tantric philosophy that sits behind it. Since 2016 she has been an authorised teacher of Neelakantha Meditation in Blue Throat Yoga, the school founded by Paul Muller-Ortega, which she teaches one to one and in small groups. She runs her own studio in Williamstown, Massachusetts, with in-person and livestreamed classes, teaches a yearly Winter Study course at Williams College, has taken groups to India, and leads weekends at Kripalu.
