Teaches on The Shift Network

Raja Choudhury, whom his students call Rajada, teaches Kundalini Shakti, Tantra and Kriya Yoga and makes documentary films. After training as an architect at the Architectural Association in London, he worked in London and New York as a digital creative director, and in 2006 a Kundalini awakening turned his life in a new direction. Moving to India, he made films about spiritual teachers and wisdom traditions, among them one on his teacher, Guruji Amritananda, and Spirituality in the Modern World, featuring Ken Wilber. The Quantum Indians received India's National Film Award in 2014, PBS broadcast America's First Guru, about Swami Vivekananda, and in 2012 he gave a TED talk on Indian wisdom.

His teaching draws on Shaiva and Shakta Tantra, Sri Vidya, the Vigyan Bhairav Tantra and Vedanta, set beside modern psychology and neuroscience, with breath, mantra and meditation at the core, and he encourages students to be their own guru. He teaches online on The Shift Network and runs A Thousand Suns Academy, which offers a monthly membership, The Path, along with on-demand programmes. His lengthy talks on Shiva, Kundalini and the third eye draw large audiences on YouTube. He lives in Princeton, New Jersey.
