Nicholas Pearson

Nicholas Pearson grew up collecting rocks and studied geology and mineral science at Stetson University in Florida, where he worked at the campus earth science museum and helped teach geology labs. He has spent around thirty years with crystals and minerals, and his writing sets the physical facts of each stone, its chemistry, structure and formation, beside the folklore, symbolism and spiritual uses that have gathered around it over centuries.

He is also a Reiki teacher who holds the title of shihan in the Japanese system of Usui Reiki Ryoho and takes a keen interest in where Reiki came from and how it changed as it travelled west. His books, mostly with Inner Traditions, include Crystal Basics, Stones of the Goddess, The Seven Archetypal Stones, Foundations of Reiki Ryoho and Flower Essences from the Witch's Garden. Based in Orlando, Florida, he teaches crystal and Reiki classes in person around the United States, runs livestream workshops for London's College of Psychic Studies, shares class replays through a Patreon membership and speaks at Omega and at magick and witchcraft festivals.
