Teaches on The Shift Network

Maureen Hancock, a spirit medium, intuitive teacher and author, is based in the Bridgewater area of Massachusetts. She worked as a litigation manager before becoming a full-time medium, and for more than 25 years she has encouraged people to talk more openly about death, dying and grief. Her book is The Medium Next Door, and in 2011 the Style Network made her the subject of a documentary, Psychic in Suburbia. She volunteers with hospice, sits with bereaved parents, and has helped families and law enforcement with missing-person cases.

Intuition and spirit communication are the focus of her teaching: recognising signs from loved ones who have died, clearing what she calls the clutter that gets in the way of connection, and learning to test and trust intuitive impressions. Maureen Hancock University, her online school, offers self-paced semesters of lessons and meditations, and she gives workshops for medical professionals, law enforcement and the public. She tours New England with Postcards from Heaven, evenings of group readings, and leads Soul Shift retreats in Costa Rica and on Cape Cod that combine breathwork, meditation, intuitive exercises and mediumship. She founded The Zen Loft, a yoga and wellness centre in Bridgewater, and teaches on The Shift Network.
