Teaches on Insight Timer

MaryBeth Hyland is a mindfulness teacher, coach and speaker who lives with her husband, James, and a small herd of rescued horses in a tiny home in the mountains near Salmon, Idaho. She spent years in the fast-moving working world of Baltimore before stepping away from it, and she now teaches people who have built busy, successful lives how to slow down, name what they value and set kinder limits on their time and energy. Her book Permission to Be Human, written for leaders, applies the same values work to company culture.

Her teaching mixes short guided meditations, reflection on personal values, nature ritual and time with horses. Locally she leads a twice-monthly women's circle on a ranch in Carmen, where all the work is done on the ground and no riding experience is needed. Online she and James run DailySpark, a subscription of two-minute daily practices with a live monthly meditation, alongside a paid members' community, and she offers one-to-one alignment coaching. She records moon meditations, breathing practices and short courses for Insight Timer and for the couple's YouTube channel, often outdoors beside the horses.
