Teaches on Insight Timer

Manoj Dias is a meditation teacher and writer who began his teaching life in Australia, where he co-founded A—SPACE, a drop-in meditation studio offering several disciplines under one roof. He later moved to the United States and co-founded Open, which started as a mindfulness studio in Venice, California, and grew into a meditation and breathwork app. His grounding is in Buddhist meditation and secular mindfulness, studied over almost twenty years with teachers including Tsoknyi Rinpoche, Joseph Goldstein and Dr. Miles Neale, together with more than 500 hours of yoga training, including study with the yoga teacher Maty Ezraty.

His teaching weaves breath, movement and somatic awareness into a practice meant for ordinary, busy lives rather than retreat from them. He has led sessions for companies, schools, sports teams and cultural institutions, has taught weekend programmes at Esalen in Big Sur, and wrote Still, Together, an illustrated book about meditation and connection. He now runs gentle—noise, a publication and YouTube channel exploring contemplative practice in today's culture through essays, conversations and guided meditations, and lives partly in Los Angeles and partly in New York. On Insight Timer he offers guided meditations and a ten-day course on relationships.
