Llyn Roberts

Llyn "Cedar" Roberts first learned Reiki in 1988 from John Harvey Gray, who had trained under Hawayo Takata, and became a Reiki master teacher in 1993. In the 1980s she studied with the Tibetan teacher Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche and completed a graduate degree at Naropa University that joined Buddhist and Western psychology. From the 1990s she spent long periods learning from Quechua healers in the Ecuadorian Andes and from Amazonian and Siberian shamans, and for many years she led small groups on journeys to meet Indigenous elders, including work alongside John Perkins at Dream Change.

Out of these strands she developed Shamanic Reiki, a way of joining hands-on energy work with nature-based ritual, journeying and contemplative practice. Shamanic Reiki Worldwide, which she founded, runs a home-based apprenticeship lasting up to three years, taught online by Llyn and a faculty of senior students, and she also leads quiet residential retreats in nature and teaches at Omega. Her books include Shamanic Reiki, written with Robert Levy, Shapeshifting into Higher Consciousness, and two titles co-written with Sandra Ingerman, Speaking with Nature and Walking Through Darkness.
