Lisa Rafel

Before she became a spiritual teacher and sound healer, Lisa Rafel worked as an actress, playwright, songwriter and producer. The American teacher is known for Vocal Sound Healing™, which uses the voice, chant and overtones for self-healing and in work with others, and she has taught vocal sound for more than thirty years. Guided meditation, prayer, energy exercises and psychic "seeing" all feature in her classes, shaped by Kabbalah and by Tibetan, Mongolian, ancient Egyptian and Native American practices. She has sung at Chartres Cathedral, the Great Pyramid and Tibet's Sakya Monastery.

Her live online teaching happens in small groups. The Five Worlds is a two-day programme passing through five thresholds towards a more integrated sense of self; alongside it run Psychic Wisdom, Vocal Sound Healing classes and small ongoing groups she calls pods. She is on the faculty of The Shift Network and the Globe Sound Healing Institute, and also teaches at Rancho La Puerta in Mexico. Lisa's World, her low-cost membership, holds a library of her meditations, prayers and talks. Through her company Resonant Sounds, and with Gary Malkin and her husband David Surrenda, she co-created Safe in the Arms of Love, a book and music set on parent and baby bonding.
