Teaches on Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health

Lisa Marchiano is a Jungian analyst and writer who helps people read the language of dreams, myth and fairy tale. After studying medieval European history at Brown University, international affairs at Columbia and social work at New York University, she trained with the Interregional Society of Jungian Analysts, qualifying in 2011, and now teaches and supervises candidates at the C. G. Jung Institute of Philadelphia. In 2018 she started the podcast This Jungian Life with fellow analysts Deborah Stewart and Joseph Lee, a series that has brought Jung's ideas to a wide international audience through conversation and the reading of listeners' dreams.

Her books draw on old stories to look at modern lives. Motherhood: Facing and Finding Yourself treats parenting as a path of inner growth, The Vital Spark explores the 'outlaw' qualities women are often taught to hide, and Dream Wise, written with her podcast co-hosts, sets out a step-by-step method for working with dreams. With them she also runs Dream School, a year-long online course. She hosts women's retreats built around fairy tales, story, movement and dreamwork, writes the free Café Jung newsletter, and at Kripalu leads weekends on dream incubation and interpretation.
