Teaches on The Shift Network

Shifu Lindsey Wei (Daoist name Wei Cheng Ling) is an American teacher of Wudang internal martial arts. She is a lay disciple of Wudang Daoism's Chun Yang sect, in its 24th generation. For more than nine years she trained under Master Li Xing De at the Five Immortals Temple on White Horse Mountain in China, studying Qigong, Tai Ji Quan, Ba Gua, the double-edged straight sword and Daoist meditation and scripture. She returned to the United States to teach in 2010. Those years are the subject of her memoir, The Valley Spirit: A Female Story of Daoist Cultivation.

At her school, Wudang White Horse, she teaches the temple curriculum as a single path of cultivation: stillness meditation, Yang Sheng Gong, Tai Ji, Ba Gua circle walking, kung fu basics and the Seven Star Sword. Students can join a monthly online membership with recorded courses and weekly live classes, or attend residential immersion camps held outdoors in southern Oregon's Siskiyou mountains, where training follows the rhythms of nature. The school says its aim is to teach students to teach themselves, so the practices become part of daily life. On The Shift Network she also offers self-paced courses in Wudang Qigong and Daoist meditation.
