Lindsay Mack is a tarot teacher, writer and podcast host based in Portland, Oregon, who started Tarot for the Wild Soul. They have worked with the cards for more than thirty years and professionally for over a decade, developing a method they call Soul Tarot. In this approach no card is treated as bad or as a fixed prediction; each one is read as an invitation and a companion for the present moment, and students are encouraged to bring their whole, unpolished selves to the deck. Lindsay is also a trained death doula and sings with a local threshold choir.
Most of the teaching happens online through Soul Tarot School: a monthly membership with live Zoom workshops and a private podcast, a weekend foundations immersion for newer readers, and an eight-week practitioner training for those who want to read for others. They also give one-to-one readings, lead residential retreats in North America, and write the No Bad Cards newsletter. The long-running Tarot for the Wild Soul podcast offers monthly card guidance and answers listener questions. In 2026 Running Press published Lindsay's debut book, Tarot for the Wild Soul, together with the companion Soul Tarot deck illustrated by Chelsea Granger.
