Kathleen Duggan

Kathleen Duggan is a shamanic practitioner and teacher who works in the core shamanism tradition alongside Usui Reiki. Her teachers over roughly a decade have included Sandra Ingerman, Jane Burns and Dory Cote, and her training includes an apprenticeship, a soul retrieval intensive, two years of advanced study and initiation known as Becoming the Hollow Bone, followed by two years of teacher preparation under Cote. She received her first Reiki attunement in 2014 from Marsha Stultz and now holds Master of Masters standing in the Usui Shiki Ryoho system, as well as practitioner certification in Stultz's Heart Lotus Evolution method.

With Nancy MacPhee she runs Shamanic Healing and Teaching, a practice under the Live the Way of the Heart name with bases in Western New York and Maine. Together they lead introductory workshops on the shamanic journey, including a recurring six-day programme at Kripalu. On her own, Kathleen holds a small online apprenticeship circle each year, teaches Reiki I and II over Zoom, and offers private sessions, mentoring for people developing a spiritual or energy practice, and clearings for homes and land. Her approach rests on a close working relationship with helping spirits, and she offers most of her teaching both in person and at a distance.
