Teaches on Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health

Kaitlin Curtice is a writer, poet and speaker and an enrolled citizen of the Potawatomi Nation. Her books follow the way faith, identity and belonging shift over a lifetime, and ask how Indigenous ways of seeing can change how people relate to the land, to their ancestors and to each other. Native looks back on her own path as a Potawatomi woman raised within Christianity, Living Resistance offers everyday practices of rest, embodiment and remembering, and Everything Is a Story examines the narratives we inherit and how they can be retold. She has also written a series of picture books for children that follows the four seasons.

Kaitlin co-founded and directs the Aki Institute, whose work centres on rest, responsibility and resistance, and she writes The Liminality Journal on Substack. She speaks at universities, churches, festivals and conferences, and has led retreats and workshops at places such as the Chautauqua Institution and Iona Abbey in Scotland. Her Kripalu programmes mix readings from her books and poetry with journaling, mindfulness practice and conversation in small groups. She lives near Philadelphia.
