Jessica Amos is a mindfulness meditation teacher, life coach and writer in Salem, Oregon. She traces her own awakening to 2005, after the birth of her first child, and came to meditation some years later through a 21-day online challenge she had at first resisted. In 2013 she started Stay with Yourself as an online storytelling co-op, began leading meditation classes at a local yoga studio, and a year later released her first online course. She has given two TEDx talks, including You Are Your Greatest Ally at TEDxSalem, and between 2020 and 2025 taught remote resilience classes for adults in custody at Oregon State Penitentiary.
Her teaching is plain-spoken, warm and seasonal, with an emphasis on self-compassion and being on your own side. On Insight Timer and through her Substack library she offers courses on learning to meditate, sacred habits, compassionate boundaries, the inner child, shadow work, the wheel of the year and finding God outside organised religion, alongside bedtime stories for children. In Salem she runs meditation classes, half-day retreats and talks for schools and organisations, and she coaches clients one-to-one. She also writes poetry, plays in an all-woman punk band and published a poetic memoir, My Life in Moments.
