Teaches on The Shift Network

An English spiritual teacher, Helen Hamilton teaches in the non-dual tradition of Self-realisation. Her teaching arose from her own awakening, which she experienced as a long and difficult process, and she wants to make that path simpler and available to anyone. As she puts it, the truth of who we are is simple, and anyone can realise the Self. She was based in West Yorkshire for many years and is a mother of four.

Satsang is her main form: a talk followed by open questions, offered free on Zoom twice a month. Alongside these she holds weekend intensives and residential retreats in Britain, Spain and the United States, many of them recorded. Five practices underpin her method: meditation, contemplation, self-inquiry, conscious imagining and what she calls the Statement Process. Those who want to go deeper can join the Helen Hamilton Sangha, a monthly membership with live classes, a growing archive and support from acharya teachers she has trained. Balboa Press publishes her series of books, the first being Dissolving the Ego and Transcending the Mind, and several short ebooks are free on her website.
