Teaches on The Shift Network

Master Faye Li Yip (Li Hui) was born in China into a family of martial artists and is the daughter of the Taiji teacher Professor Li Deyin. She began Shaolin training at seven, went on to Xing Yi, Bagua and Taiji under her father, and learned from her grand-uncle Li Tianji, the Xing Yi and Bagua master Sha Guozheng and Grandmaster Sun Jianyun, which gives her a direct line to Sun style Tai Chi. Her grandfather taught her Qigong. She competed in national competitions in China before moving to the UK, and has more than forty years of training behind her.

With her husband, Master Tary Yip, she founded the Deyin Taijiquan Institute in Telford and the British Health Qigong Association. She teaches Yang and Sun style Tai Chi, the Tai Chi Kung Fu Fan created by her father, Tai Chi sword and the Health Qigong sets such as Ba Duan Jin and Yi Jin Jing, through weekly classes on Zoom, seminars across the UK and Europe, a summer retreat, instructor training and cultural trips to China. Her family's YouTube channel carries many of her form demonstrations, and she also teaches self-paced Qigong courses on The Shift Network. She has led performances at public events in the UK, including the countdown to the 2012 London Olympics.
