Teaches on Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health

Erin Rose Ward teaches yoga, meditation, breathwork and free-form dance from her home in Ojai, California. Her yoga path began with a teacher training at Kripalu in 2012, and she went on to teach for more than a decade in New York and Los Angeles, including for the online movement platform The Class. Her studies have taken in Tantra yoga, Tibetan Buddhism and mystic Christianity, and she names Kevin Courtney of INSIGHT, 360 Emergence co-founder Kate Shela and Lena George among her mentors. She has spoken openly about how finding yoga in her twenties helped her through a hard period, and that experience shapes her steady, warm style of teaching.

Her classes centre on the body as a place of refuge and on the heart's capacity to hold whatever life brings. Each week she leads yoga in Ojai and The 360 Emergence, a guided, music-led dance practice, in Topanga, with monthly sessions in West Los Angeles. Online she runs The Refuge, an eight-week circle for women built around embodiment, wisdom teaching and council, and with her husband Andrew Griffes she hosts evenings for couples. She also mentors students one to one and leads weekend retreats at Kripalu.
