Dr. Debra Ford

Debra Ford is a Calgary-based teacher of metaphysical philosophy and the Tao, best known as the originator of SolePath, a framework for recognising the patterns in how a person notices, responds and grows. In SolePath each person carries a braid of three strands: a Joyful LightPath where energy flows easily, a Progression LightPath where they grow, and a DarkPath that shows how they contract under strain. She holds a doctorate in metaphysical science, is an ordained minister, belongs to the American Metaphysical Doctors Association and serves as a governing official of the Canadian International Metaphysical Ministry in Alberta. She has taught on Insight Timer since 2016.

Through the Academy of Inner Wisdom, the teaching arm of the SolePath Institute, she offers self-paced online training as a celebrant and spiritual practitioner for weddings, funerals and community support, alongside courses in Zone Feng Shui and space clearing. Her many books range from SolePath reference texts and a guide to SoleNumbers, a reading of purpose from the birth date, to morning and evening rituals built on the rhythm of the Tao and a book on parenting through the same lens. She also writes picture books, including the Curious Cousins adventures set in southern Africa and the Unique Child series, that introduce children to connection, balance and flow.
