David Elliott

David Elliott is a breathwork teacher and energy healer who grew up on a farm in Kentucky and spent the 1980s acting in film, television and advertising in Los Angeles. Meeting the healer Tim Heath helped him see that he could sense and shift held energy and that he heard guidance clairaudiently, and by the late 1990s healing work had taken the place of acting. He kept a practice in Los Angeles for many years and now does much of his teaching in New Mexico, where he founded the Creative Healing Arts Center, a non-profit retreat ranch near Tres Piedras.

His method rests on a two-stage pranayama breath that he uses to move people out of their thinking and into feeling, with self-love as the thread running through all of it. Since 2001 he has taught a graded Healer Training, now five core levels with further mentorship levels, which prepares students to hold space for one another and to lead breathwork circles; he runs it in New Mexico, California, Portugal and at Omega. He also leads healing groups and men's retreats, records guided meditations, and is the author of The Reluctant Healer, Healing and Men's Work: Breathwork & Brotherhood.
