Teaches on The Shift Network

For more than 40 years David Crow has worked in natural medicine as an American herbalist, acupuncturist, aromatherapist and author. He was one of the first Westerners licensed in Chinese medicine after training in it, and he studied Ayurvedic and Tibetan medicine through traditional internships in India and Nepal. In Search of the Medicine Buddha, his book about those Himalayan years, describes his studies with Tibetan physicians and meditation teachers. He founded Floracopeia, which produces essential oils and botanical products in partnership with small-scale growers and distillers worldwide, and his ethnobotanical research has taken him far afield.

In David's teaching, knowledge of plants is joined with meditation and ecological spirituality. His courses explore the chakras and the inner landscape of the body through yogic and Tibetan traditions, the craft of blending essential oils, and a heart-centred meditation that follows the rhythm of the heartbeat. He has taught for more than 25 years in Europe, Canada and the United States. Since 2015 he has taught regularly on The Shift Network, where he founded and hosted the yearly Plant Medicine Summit. He lives in Grass Valley, California, and now teaches mostly online.
