Danielle Dulsky is a writer, painter and practising witch whose teaching grows out of folklore, fairy tales, seasonal ritual and a love of Irish paganism. She trained as a painter at Arcadia University and has led women's circles, embodiment trainings, group spellwork and festivals of the turning year since 2007. Among her own teachers she names Clarissa Pinkola Estés, Bayo Akomolafe, and John Cantwell and Karen Ward of Slí An Chroí.
Through The Hag School, which she founded, she runs small online programmes for witches, mystics and writers: a year-long mythic witchcraft apprenticeship, monthly membership covens built around the full moon and writing as spellcraft, self-paced journeys through myth and art, and long writing intensives on personal myth. Her approach treats story as a way of meeting the sacred, using old tales, goddess myths and archetypes as maps for a person's own life, with writing, ritual, visualisation and gentle movement. She has written eight books, mostly with New World Library, among them Woman Most Wild, The Holy Wild, Bones & Honey, The Night House and The Book of Wild Daughters, and she teaches weekend workshops at Omega. She divides her time between a Pennsylvania steel town and upstate New York.
