Brett Bevell

Brett Bevell is a Reiki master and energy-healing teacher in New York's Hudson Valley. He was initiated as a master in 1995 and has spent the decades since adapting Usui Reiki into forms that lean on the practitioner's higher self, including Psychic Reiki, which works without symbols or hand positions. He also developed Magical Awakening, a playful system drawn from Celtic shamanism's three cauldrons and Arthurian imagery, in which the practitioner is cast as a wizard healer. His books include Psychic Reiki, The Reiki Magic Guide to Self-Attunement, The Wizard's Guide to Energy Healing, Healing Racism Within and Reiki for Spiritual Healing, and he created the Reiki Divine Healing Card Deck for US Games.

Brett teaches first- and second-degree Reiki weekends and master trainings at Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, where he also works on the programme staff, and runs occasional residential weekends nearby on psychic awareness. Online, his Academy of Love and Light hosts self-paced trainings in Psychic Reiki and Magical Awakening, and he offers distant sessions and tarot readings. Outside energy work he is a performance poet whose pieces have been broadcast on NPR.
