Teaches on Insight Timer

Amanda Machado is a Canada-based epidemiologist who teaches conscious living under the name Wild Becoming. Her background in public health research shapes the way she teaches: she sets scientific findings beside contemplative and traditional wisdom, and keeps her focus on what people can actually practise day to day. Her main themes are life purpose, self-knowledge, the emotional body, habits and daily rhythm, and the link between personal and collective wellbeing.

Most of her teaching is shared through The Wild Becoming Podcast, a fortnightly show of conversations, short talks and guided meditations, with recent series on self-mastery (discipline, non-attachment, presence) and a reflective garden series. On Insight Timer she publishes guided meditations and talks on purpose, integrating spiritual practice into ordinary life, the Ayurvedic daily clock, intention and seasonal meditations for the winter solstice. She also posts short daily reflections on conscious living on Instagram, has a small YouTube channel of longer guided meditations, and has hosted live events for her community.
